The PHV is a free educational resource designed to increase
knowledge and understanding of pre-hospital emergency care.
The PHV is designed to reinforce theoretical and practical
training, not replace courses or training sessions.
Inside each issue you will find features on pre-hospital care
skills, medical conditions and emergencies, trauma, paediatrics,
extended skills, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, ecgs, case
studies and a competition.
Originally developed as pdf magazine e-mailed to individual subscribers,
its success has led to a change in the delivery system. Subscribers
now simply have to register (for free) to gain access to the site's
protected pages, where the current issue and all back issues are
available for download.
Registration details, including e-mail addresses, are kept confidential
and are never sold or passed on to third parties. When
registering you will be asked for an address, this will help subscribers
who enter our competitions and give aways, but is not mandatory.
If you do not wish to leave your postal address your country of
residence will suffice.
Subscribers will only receive e-mails notifying that a new issue
is available. Please contact us if you prefer having the issues
e-mailed directly to your mailbox.
The PHV is able to accept advertising
and sponsorship
from relevant companies and organisations. The media pack is currently
being redesigned but will be available shortly. The subscription
list for The PHV is confidential and can not be purchased.
No third party advertising is available on the website.
PHV is produced by Gary and Suzii Wilson,

years experience working within the pre-hospital care sector. Through
their training company, Pre-hospital Care Services, they also run
a variety of training sessions and practical courses for pre-hospital
care providers. PHV also has an editorial
review board and welcomes articles for submission.
The PHV editorial team also wishes to thank the following companies
